CONTENT MARKETER
The Role
You will be crafting and telling Shophouse & Co’s story, values, approaches, and work that we do in a clear and compelling manner. This role will require you to use written and visual content to connect and engage with our wide range of audiences which includes commercial and community partners, government agencies, industry practitioners, and the general public.
Your responsibilities include:
Writing case studies, blurbs for social media, scripts for video content, language for website, and much more.
Planning and executing digital marketing strategies and content calendar to expand reach and awareness of the studio’s work including boosting our online presence and email subscriber base
Managing marketing platforms (social media accounts and email newsletter) including posting updates, responding to interactions, and actively initiate conversations with our community
Curating and creating engaging content (articles, videos, photos, graphics) for marketing platforms related to placemaking trends and happenings around the creative, cultural, and urbanism field
Track and review marketing analytics, including preparation of performance reports, and proposing ideas to improve digital marketing performance
Work closely with colleagues on amplifying their placemaking work which includes programmes, stakeholder engagements, fieldwork, and more
Being an active and versatile member of a multi-disciplinary team by supporting other non-marketing aspects of the placemaking process
We are looking for someone who:
Loves to communicate through words. You get a thrill from writing with precision, purpose, and personality.
Understands the value of visual storytelling and have the ability and interest to create content such as graphics, videos, gifs, screenshots, polls and others with the help of apps (Eg: Boomerang, VSCO, Snapseed, Giphy, Canva)
Thinks strategically about engaging with, and communicating to different communities and audiences
Is excited by the challenge of understanding complex urban issues and communicating them in an accessible manner
Proficient with social media and marketing platforms used by SHCO such as Instagram, Mailchimp, Facebook, Squarespace and related apps (Eg: Hootsuite, Buffer, etc)
Proficient with social media analytics and reporting
While educational qualifications are not critical, we would prefer someone with a marketing & communications related experience. Those without the necessary educational qualifications or experience will be considered if applicant is able to communicate why they fit the role.
