PROJECT MANAGER

The Role

You will be working with various project teams to deliver projects on-standard, on-brand, on-time, and on-budget. This role will require you to service our clients, work with various partners, and manage the project’s resources in order to deliver the best placemaking work we can create.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Being the primary liaison between SHCO and the Client for all ongoing projects to ensure that briefs are met to standards and expectations

  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and internal resources from conceptualisation to execution in order to smoothly deliver a project

  • Leading production management which includes necessary liaison with authorities, contractors and partners. This covers application of licences, preparing and briefing specifications, sourcing and negotiating quotations, overseeing quality and progress, etc.

  • Preparing documentation and reports related to proposals and projects including presentations, approvals, and production. (eg: work in progress report, sign-off documents, admin report, meeting minutes, post event report, etc.)

  • Building strong working relationships with clients, partners, and collaborators to nurture win-win partnerships as we co-create and deliver projects with and for our stakeholders

  • Assisting Directors to ensure that projects retain the SHCO placemaking ethos, is aligned with the studio’s strategic direction, and is managed efficiently



We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 1-2 years experience in project management (eg: events management, arts management, production management, construction management)

  • Pays great attention to detail, is highly organised, and has excellent time management

  • Has the tenacity to face challenges, never take ‘No’ for an answer, and sees inevitable problems as opportunities for innovation and creativity

  • Is independent and resourceful with a knack to making things happen through creative (and sometimes unorthodox) solutions

  • Is a good negotiator and communicator who can balance the different needs of a project to achieve a win-win for SHCO and its partners

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with a love for working with people

  • Is a thinker who is quick, strategic, and able to perform under stress


While related diploma or degree in Arts & Events Management, Architecture & Urban Studies, or related fields are NOT a pre-requisite, we would prefer someone who has an understanding and experience in these fields. Those without the necessary experience or qualifications will still be considered if applicant is able to communicate why they fit the role.
